Amplifier clipping occurs when the required output exceeds the amplifier's available clean power. To reduce clipping, use proper gain structure, select adequate amplifier power, avoid excessive input levels, and configure DSP limiters correctly where available.
Hum or unwanted noise may come from improper grounding, poor-quality cables, signal interference, incorrect gain structure, or ground loops. Use balanced signal connections where possible, separate power and signal cables, check grounding, and inspect each part of the signal chain individually.
Check cable connections (use balanced XLR/TRS cables to reduce interference).
Ensure proper grounding of audio equipment.
Avoid running audio cables alongside power cables.
